Brooke Richards lives in Georgia in the Untied States. She lives with her daughter and lots of pets, including a lizard named Vinnie Van Gogh. 

She has been an art educator for over 20 years. She has taught both teenagers and adults in a variety of art media and techniques. Although she loves teaching high school, she truly loves teaching adult art. In teaching both types of students, she seeks to show every student that they have their own voice. She believes that art has healing powers and hopes that herand workshops give individuals the freedom to learn new things and to express themselves.

Brooke has explored many artand techniques. In the past several years she has renewed her love of working with watercolor and collage. She enjoys working with vintage photographs, found papers, and hand-painted papers. In each piece she works to tell a short story based on personal memories and handed-down stories based on her family.  In telling layered stories, she enjoys working with lots of layers in her pieces and a variety of media.
