She returned to her first love of painting, quickly gaining a reputation for her sensitive and timeless portraits. Her subjects have included members of the royal family, celebrities and leading public figures.
Amongst several TV appearances Carole took part in the BBC’s ‘The Big Event’ which featured a giant reproduction of John Constable’s "The Hay Wain".
In June 2014 she was honoured to have her painting of Sir Charles Bean, retiring Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, chosen as his official portait to hang in the Bank of England. Take a look at Carole's other portraits here.
As a best-selling author she has written books on how to use water soluble pencils, painting flowers in acrylics and figures in watercolours. Her latest book, "DRAWING for the Absolute Beginner is a bible for aspiring artists. She has also contributed to two large compendium books on drawing techniques and acrylics.
