About me

Tim Fisher is a leading Artist, Author, popular Art Tutor and Editorial Consultant for the Leisure Painter magazine.

He took the decision to become a full time professional artist in 2000. Since the launch of his career Tim has won numerous art awards, he was short listed from 12,00 entrants for the first

Daily Mail "Not the Turner Prize Competition".

Tim's artwork can be found displayed as original paintings, prints and over the past few years in books, as an author for Search Press.

He now has three published books in print and has just been commissioned for a fourth, this will be on painting acrylics with a palette knife. 

The Leisure Painter magazine regularly commissions Tim to write art articles, write test reports and answer reader queries.Earlier this year he was appointed Editorial Consultant for the 

magazine. Tim has also filmed art videos which feature on the PaintersOnline website.

For the past three years he has demonstrated for the magazine at the Patchings Art, Craft and Photography Festival, held in July near Calverton, Notts.

Tim is an artist who loves "the language of line" a lot of his artwork feature an ink drawing as the first part of the process. He recommends sketching as much as possible and over the 

years has developed a rapid sketching technique, ideal for "capturing the moment"

Tims past skills as an engineer and research knowledge helped with the five year process of seeing Fisher400 art paper grow from an idea, to become a worldwide, highly sought after 

surface. 

It is now the preferred paper of choice for professional and amateur artists across the world.
